Class Description:
Many guests from our culinary escapes to Southern France have met the charming John Bojanowski in St. Jean du Minervois.

St. Jean du Minervois is a quick drive from our food-and-wine-tour home base in Olonzac. As you climb the hills, you wind your way to vineyards that look like a lunar scape—sun-baked rocks as far as the eye can see. The white colour is so pronounced that we had people ask if they paint the rocks (they don’t; the Languedoc sun takes care of that)!

John crossed the Atlantic and found his love, both personally and professionally in this wild, rock-strewn, vineyard area in France’s Languedoc. Clos du Gravillas is the result of the collaboration, dedication, talent, and plain hard work of John and his wife, Nicole. Their celebration of the classic grapes of this Mediterranean region—principally the Carignan but Muscat and much more—provides some of the area’s most unique wines. Wine just doesn’t get more authentic than this, with skillful attention paid in the vineyard and winery with minimal intervention, resulting in wines that are both delicious and sometimes even soulful!

The best way to extract maximum pleasure out of the wines of Clos du Gravillas is to have them with dinner, so that’s what we’re going to do! Join us for a special evening that includes a fabulous meal paired with glorious wines. Great food, great wine, and great friends—there is nothing better!

Menu will be posted closer to the date. Respectfully, we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions at this event.
