This course requires two sessions, during which you’ll learn the processes of leavening, kneading and forming great crusts. Gail will advance your bread-baking skills and quash your bread-making fears. In Part One of the workshop, which takes place Saturday, you address the fundamentals while absorbing Gail’s savvy hands-on tips. In Part Two on Sunday, Gail leads the class to work mainly with levain- and sourdough-based breads. This course requires two sessions, during which you’ll learn the processes of leavening, kneading and forming great crusts. Gail will advance your bread-baking skills and quash your bread-making fears. In Part One of the workshop, which takes place Saturday, you address the fundamentals while absorbing Gail’s savvy hands-on tips. In Part Two on Sunday, Gail leads the class to work mainly with levain- and sourdough-based breads. This 3-day spring session will get your kiddos out of the house, and learning in our kitchen classroom! The camp will nurture your favourite young chef with a few days of cooking, learning, and eating! 

During their gastronomic education, your intrepid young cooks will learn knife skills, kitchen safety, and a variety of cooking techniques. Making everything from scratch, they will braise, roast, and bake their way to a repertoire of recipes that are both practical and delicious.

Space is limited. Book early for this very popular hands-on class!

Our classes are collaborative, with guests cooking together in groups of four.

In the world of dynamic duos, it’s hard to beat ramen and gyoza! Join Ching as she teaches you the fine art of making these two delicious foods. Expand your dumpling and noodle making skills—life will never be more yummy!

Guests will make Miso Tare, Ramen Noodles, and Gyoza from scratch, then build and enjoy a bowl of ramen during the class, and make a batch of Pork and Cabbage Gyoza to take home.

Uncover the mysteries of the simple, ancient cooking vessels known as tagines. Your intimate journey will take you through Morocco to better understand the subtleties of this traditional way of preparing stews. Slow-roasted meats and vegetables with exotic spice blends are transformed within the tagine into moist, luscious stews that will transport you to another time and place.
