Join us for this very special class devoted to the art of making bread. Issa Niemeijer-Brown is a cookbook author and the founder of the internationally acclaimed and award-winning Gebroeders Niemeijer bakery in Amsterdam, and his book, A Book About Bread: A Baker’s Manual, won a Gourmand World Cookbook award.

With an emphasis on understanding process and ingredients, Issa will teach you the basics of making bread dough. He will focus on the development of flavour in bread, and demonstrate the essential techniques for folding, shaping, and baking. After a short break, guests will practice folding and shaping dough. At the end of the session, everyone will take their bread dough to finish shaping and bake at home.

Class will include some light fare and a copy of A Book About Bread by Issa Niemeijer-Brown.
